HoW HAIr IMPLANTATION IS DONE?
The procedure is based on the transplantation of viable hair or grafts, which are not endangered by genetic hair loss, into places where the hair got thin or lost. There are two methods for that.
Applying the FUT/strip method (Follicular Unit Transplantation) a wide stripe is taken from the donor area of the hairy head skin, then, specialised and experienced assistants form intact, appropriate grafts from these, under microscopic control.
Applying the FUE/Follicular Unit extraction grafts are taken one by one.

Both techniques are used worldwide nowadays, but – as medical science is looking for less and less traumatic treatments – FUE technique is the most popular one in the field of hair transplantation and implantation. Replacement of the grafts is executed with the same method in both cases, demanding skill and accuracy.
The technique of graft removal has changed in the last decade and different clinics are competing to offer newer and newer facilities, providing the best result.
But practically they are all based on the principles of the FUE technique.

The technique acknowledged as the most up-to-date today is attributed to Dr. Devroy, a Canadian specialist, who developed WAW FUE technique and hair implantation system along with Hybrid Trumpet Punch in 2016. Procedures are made applying this system in our clinic since 2017.
While grafts were previously taken using a tapered, sharp endedpunch, moving one direction, Dr. Devroy developed a hybrid, that is, sharp, but slightly widening, trumpet shaped punch, which – due to its special design – cannot make even accidental injuries at the stem of the follicles.
To make the removal even more secure, this punch does not move in one direction, but makes there and back movements, loosening the graft out of its environment. Though the integration of the implanted grafts has been 80-90% so far,
the new technique provides a nearly 100% end result.
Statistically: transplanting 5000 hair shafts, number of the aggregated shafts can be increased by 500 by this method. It is the WAW FUE SYSTEM that makes this outstanding result available for our patients in our clinic since 2017.
Prior to the procedure, general and local examinations have to be done to value the risks of the treatment. The procedure is always performed under local anaesthesia.
During the first part of the procedure follicles are being taken from the occipital (nape) region, applying the WAW FUE System, the newest and most reliable method which combine the advantages of the previous ones. The punch used for the removal is sharp at its outer, active surface, but blunt at its inner side, so it cannot make any injuries to the shafts.
During the second part of the procedure the hair-line is drawn, and the accurate places of the shafts to be implanted are determined, with special consideration for the leaning angle of the shafts.
Finally, the implantation itself is done.
The procedure lasts for 1-2 days, depending on the extent of the hair loss; as there is no compulsory clinical stay-in, the client can return home at the end of the procedure.

HEALING AND RECOVERY AFTER HAIR IMPLANTATION
Flushingof the implanted area and swelling of the forehead and eye region may occur, but these symptoms disappear completely in 2-3 days.
The client should avoid any sport or other activity that involves intense shoulder or pectoral muscle movements for six weeks. Nothing should contact with the implanted region in the first 2-3 weeks! The client should avoid any activity that involves sweating (sport, sauna, hard physical work).
Work ability depends on the character of the client’s work. Non-physical work can be done in 1-3 days, hard physical work can be done in 3 weeks.
